Can I keep my number with a travel eSIM?
Yes. A travel eSIM is a second line dedicated to data. Your usual SIM stays active for your number, so calls, texts and WhatsApp keep working exactly as before.
How the two lines coexist
Your phone runs your home SIM (number and messages) and the travel eSIM (internet) at the same time. In settings you choose the eSIM as the data line while abroad.
Avoiding roaming charges
Keep data roaming OFF on your home SIM and ON only for the eSIM line. That way your number stays reachable without your carrier billing you for data.
