Does my phone support eSIM?

Most recent phones do, including iPhone 11 or newer, Galaxy S20 and newer, Pixel 6 or newer, and recent Motorola Edge and Razr models. Use the checker above to confirm yours.

How do I check if my phone has an eSIM?

Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears, your phone has an eSIM. You can also open Settings and look for the option to "Add eSIM".

Does my phone need to be unlocked?

Yes. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use an eSIM from another provider. If it is tied to a carrier, ask them to unlock it first.

Can I use an eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?

Yes. Most eSIM-capable phones support dual SIM, so you can keep your physical SIM active for calls and texts while using the eSIM for data abroad.

Are some iPhones eSIM-only?

Yes. In the United States, the iPhone 14 and newer have no physical SIM tray and work with eSIM only. Models sold in other regions still include a SIM tray.
